Pastor Michael Pogue
Michael Pogue became our pastor September 2017. Before coming to Parkview Michael served as Pastor of Liberty Baptist Church in Meridian Mississippi as well as youth minister at two other churches in Mississippi.
Michael received an Associate’s degree from East Mississippi Community College and a Bachelor’s degree in education from Mississippi State University. Michael completed his Masters of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in May 2018.
Michael has a heart for evangelism and world missions. He loves to travel the world sharing the wonderful Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Michael and his wife April are excited about the opportunity that God has graciously given them as they reach out to others, sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Mr. Joshua Noojin, Ministry Intern
Joshua was redeemed by Jesus Christ and delivered from an alcohol addiction in June 2009. Since that point God has placed a calling on Joshua’s life to preach God’s Word and lead God’s people. Joshua received an Associate’s degree in Electronics Engineering Technology which he used to work as an Industrial Maintenance Technician for 10 years. Joshua also received a Biblical Studies Diploma from Samford Universities Ministry Training Institute. Joshua’s wife is named Audra and their two boys are named Zadok and Titus. Audra is currently pregnant with their third child. The Noojin family left their hometown and careers in Gadsden, Alabama to move to New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2018 in pursuit of completing a Bachelors of Christian Ministry Degree.
Rev. Michael Reed, Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Worship
Michael Reed began serving at Parkview in 2006. Since that time, he has served as Children’s Minister, Youth Minister, Youth & College Pastor, and now serves as our Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Worship.
Michael received a Bachelor of Music in Theory and Composition from Ouachita Baptist University, and a Master of Divinity and Ph.D. in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Michael has a passion for discipling and equipping believers so that we all may “become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” (Eph. 4:13) Michael enjoys spending time with his wife Melody, and two children, Samuel and Josephine.
Mr. Gray Clary, Student Minister
Mr. Max Newton, Student Ministry Assistant
Max Newton is a full-time student at Leavell College of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Counseling. After completing a Master’s degree in Counseling, Max aspires to follow God’s call for him to missions and to share the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ in foreign countries while supporting missionaries on the field as part of Member Care Support. When not reading stacks of literature, Max enjoys fellowship with the family of God and learning foreign languages.
Miss Savannah Kirkpatrick, Children's Minister
Savannah graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University (SLU, Hammond, LA) with a bachelor's degree, major concentration in Applied Behavioral Sciences with a Minor in Business and Behavioral Sciences. She is currently a student at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in the Masters of Art program majoring in Christian Education. Before starting at Parkview, she was the BCM (Baptist Collegiate Ministry) Intern at SLU. Savannah is excited about the children really understanding the gospel from a young age and leading our children in the way of the Lord. She loves to play sports, eat ice cream, and hang out with people.

Mrs. Jamie Leaman, Church Pianist
Jamie has been a church pianist for approximately 30 years. She began playing piano in the Youth and Junior Departments at her home church. She has been the Church Pianist for Parkview Baptist Church for the last 17 years. Jamie attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where she took courses in music and piano as well as Bible.
Jamie also teaches Sunday School at Parkview, grades first through sixth.
